This striking pig tusk bracelet was carved by a member of the Liversidge family. Geoff Liversidge and his sone are renowned for their artwork. They are considered by some to be the most skilled family of carvers working in New Guinea today. They use traditional forms yet add their own style to each piece. Hard to get collector quality pieces. This depicts a crocodile with a human ancestor figure. It has mother of pearl insets. The almost full round tusk is 3 ¾ to 4 inches across.
